Frequently asked questions. Please note that this page is constantly updated so I can provide you the most update information/answers as much as possible.

General

Do you ship Internationally?

Yes, we certainly do!

Please note that shipping timeframes excludes public holidays, weekends and customs delays which is out of our courier services control.

Who will pay for customs and duties fee?

For all orders outside Canada, additional fee and charges may apply (such as clearance fees, customs duty, taxes, etc) depending on your order’s final destination.

We are not responsible for these additional fees e.g. mentioned above to be paid upon receipt of your order.

I recommend contacting your local post office if you are unsure about any fees that might be relevant to you.

Return Policy

If there is an issue with your order, please don’t hesitate to contact me, and we will discuss how we can find the best solution. You can navigate to contact page or send me an email at info@artby-darcy.com

In the off chance your product doesn't arrive, it may have been returned back to me if you entered the wrong details and I can arrange for your parcel to be sent back to you.

Returns and refunds depend on the artwork. You can find each policy on the sections below.

Unfortunately I do not accept exchanges.

Refund Policy

Once the return is done and the item is inspected, I will send an email stating the acceptance or rejection of your refund request. If it's approved, I will proceed to the refund.

The credit will automatically be applied on your credit card or original method of payment. The refund may take 4 to 10 business days before appearing officially in your account depending on your banking institution.

How long will it take for my order to be ship?

Once an order has been placed and received by the artist, please allow at least 14 business days until the artwork is shipped out.

Shipping times will vary from the carrier and can be estimated at the checkout.

Note: Please expect shipping delays due to COVID-19.

Do you do wholesale?

If you're interested in carrying my artwork, navigate to the contact page to start your enquiry there.

I will get back to you as soon as possible with all the information needed.

Will I receive an order and shipping confirmation?

Yes, once I have received your order you will be sent an order confirmation and an email to notify you once your parcel has been dispatched.

Can I purchase an artwork with my currency?

Yes of course! Your purchase is automatically be converted upon checkout!

There is also an option at the bottom of the page where you can select the price currency to your own.

Does my order have a tracking number? If so, how can I track it?

Yes, all orders have a tracking number and will be shipped out via Canada Post. A tracking number will be sent to you once an order has been shipped out.

Are the payments secure in this website?

This website use SSL encryption technology to protect your personal information during the checkout process.

What if I received a damaged artwork?

If you receive a damaged parcel, please contact us as soon as possible and I will assist you for the refund procedures. Please reach out as soon as you receive your order - otherwise it will be impossible to proceed to a refund.

Questions for Art Prints

Prints

What are border or borderless prints?

A border refers to the white spacing of the paper that surrounds the artwork.

A borderless print on the other hand will allow the artwork to fill the whole page, without any white spacing around the artwork.

Border Sizes?

The size in the description of the print or original artwork is the final size of the artwork. With a border, the artwork itself will be printed in a slightly smaller scale than the final product size (ie. 8.5x11 inches or 11x17 inches).

For prints, it's approximately 1 cm.

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity?

Original artworks or limited edition artworks are the only works that will come with a certificate of authenticity. 

Refund and Return

I accept returns and refunds for prints ONLY and if there following are:

- NOT on sale (Sale artwork are final sale)

- Within 30 days of delivery (When the 30 days have elapsed since the delivery, I unfortunately can no longer offer refund.

Returns within Canada
I will be providing a return label with all types of requests. Please note that a flat fee calculated from the post will be deducted from your order for refund requests.

Returns in the United States and Internationally

For returns from the United States and internationally, you must go to your nearest post office to return it. Do not worry, you will have all the information you need when making the return request.

Questions for Original works

Originals

Do original pieces have a border?

Yes they do!

Will I receive a certificate of authenticity?

Yes! all original works have a certificate of authenticity.

Refund and Return

Unfortunately I do not accept returns and refund for original artworks.

Questions related to commissioned and personalized/custom works

Commissioned Work

How long does it take to finish a commissioned piece?

An average timeframe for me to paint a commissioned piece is at least 4 weeks, this doesn't include the discussions with regards to the reference, choices, colour, etc...

How much is a commissioned piece?

It depends on the size and complexity of the artwork.

Is there a downpayment required for a commissioned piece?

Yes, there is a 50% non-refundable down payment required.
